American actor, martial artist and actor Brandon Bruce Lee was recognized in the early 1990s for his role as an action star. His role as Eric Draven was his breakthrough in 1994’s dark fantasy film The Crow. Lee’s promising life and career were ended when he was accidentally killed during production of The Crow. Inadvertently firing a live shot from a Colt.45 caliber pistol at Hutchins led to a similar incident in the 1970s. Baldwin insists that he never intended to fire at Hutchins. However, the prop crew created their own dummy ammunitions by removing gunpowder and leaving the primer in. The wrongly activated cartridge was fired during filming. This resulted in a squib load which causes a bullet to get stuck in the barrel. Tragically, the camera crew did not notice the issue. The fatal scene saw the dummy cartridges being replaced by blank rounds. They have a primer and live powder charge but no bullet. Massee fired his gun with nearly the same force that a live bullet, and the bullet trapped in the barrel was shot. Brandon Lee was hit in the stomach. It was written in the script that he would fall forward, not backward. Lee died March 31, 1993 after he had undergone surgery at a nearby hospital.
