Kevin Durant Injury update
Kevin Durant, to the disappointment many fans, was unable make his home debut against the OKC Thunder because of an ankle injury. Although he completed his pregame routine, Durant avoided pushing on his ankle during play. Durant is currently dealing with his latest injury. Durant had been injured in the past 20 games by a right-leg MCL sprain. Durant was back on the court against the Charlotte Hornets on March 1. On Monday, Durant was unable to play in a road match against the Dallas Mavericks before he played against the OKC Thunder. Durant was eagerly anticipated by fans, so tickets sold quickly.
When will He Come Back?
While the Phoenix Suns currently hold fourth place in a highly competitive Western Conference, their recent back-toback losses have dampened their momentum. Kevin Durant’s impressive debut was a success, scoring 23 points in only 27 minutes. Two more strong performances followed, but Durant was then forced to miss the remainder of the season. Shams reports that Durant is expected to be back at the end of the month. He will have five regular season games to regain his form prior to the playoffs. Durant’s best effort will be needed to help the Suns make deep runs in the playoffs. If they are able to avoid the tournament, they will be granted some time off following their last regular-season match on April 9th. Due to the high level of competition in the Western Conference, the Suns’ first-round playoff matchup will be closely watched. Durant is looking to add another championship to that list, while Durant hopes to help the Suns make another run to the NBA Finals. Durant’s return is awaited by the team, who suffered a hard loss to the LA Lakers.
