Claire and Clayton Irwin enrolled their 2-year old daughter Vienna Irwin into Watch Me Grow Daycare at Baltimore Road on Thursday. Her mother went back to collect her but she wasn’t there. She searched everywhere and couldn’t find her. The parents of the girl reported their missing child at 5:20 that evening.
What happened on the day after?
A few kilometers north from Cobourg was a “Watch Me Grow Day Care” where the body of the toddler was found. There was a significant police presence. Vienna’s body, discovered by OPP officers after an exhaustive search in the open well next door, was later found. The rescue team removed the child and started CPR. The OPP led an emergency drive that resulted with the ambulance transporting the toddler to the Northumberland Hills Hospital near Cobourg. The police remained on the scene to conduct an investigation.
